How to use this page
- Choose the image you are allowed to mark.
- Enter the exact text, then set position, size, opacity, colour and angle.
- Preview. Use tile when a single corner mark could be cropped away.
Worked example: a client proof that must not be used as final
Set text to PROOF, tile, low opacity, a slight angle, export JPG. Keep the clean master offline. If the deliverable is a PDF portfolio, watermark the images here first or watermark the PDF on PDF North — two different files, both local.
What this job is for
Start near 25–40% opacity for a credit and higher for PROOF or DRAFT. White on dark areas, dark on light areas. Size is a percentage of image width so it scales with the photo.
Useful limits
Only mark images you own or are authorised to edit. Resize to the final canvas before watermarking so the type size matches the shipped file.
The live tool behind this page is Add Watermark to Image. It is the same local engine as the rest of Image Cosmos.
