How to use this page
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP file.
- Keep the original format or pick a new one.
- Remove metadata, read the verification message, then download only if the check passes.
Worked example: a house photo before a public listing
Run the listing shot through the remover, confirm the verified-clean message, then resize or compress as the portal requires. If the listing is a PDF brochure, strip image metadata here first and strip PDF metadata on PDF North afterwards.
What this job is for
This does not blur faces, street signs or documents in the picture. It is a container cleanup, not anonymisation of the scene.
Useful limits
JPG and WebP are re-encoded, so bytes can change. Keep the original if you still need the camera data.
The live tool behind this page is EXIF Metadata Remover. It is the same local engine as the rest of Image Cosmos.
Frequently asked questions
Does this delete the photo from my camera roll?
No. It only offers a new download.
Is every possible metadata block covered?
Common EXIF/GPS, XMP, IPTC/Photoshop, JPEG comments and PNG/WebP text chunks are checked. It is not a forensic guarantee of every proprietary extension.
Uploaded?
No.
Need PDF metadata removed too?
Use PDF North’s remove-PDF-metadata tool on the document, separately.
